coaster
Thought that my wooden labels that my jewelry comes wrapped around should have a better purpose then just looking pretty. A coaster for either hot or cold beverages. We tested them out with sweaty drinks and the birds didn't smear. Yay!

idea board
Collecting ideas is such a must for me when it comes to focusing my thoughts. Here is my idea board, it really helps me see how I have evolve through this leather process and where I'm headed. Shirts are next! There is so much I want to do sometimes it's hard to contain it.

I found this old jacket at a block sale for 50 cents. Obviously someone made it. It had wide butterfly-like sleeves with tassels around the edges. I was going to update it, florals are quite in this year, but thought about it a bit and my conclusion is a little goes a long way. Just a touch in a bracelet seems enough.

Genevieve and blue lariat necklace
For a while I was tying pieces of leather string around my neck. I thought that I could elaborate on that by cutting a feather silhouette and adding some vintage beads. Most of the beads I use are special to me. Many of the them were gifted to me by a friend when I was in my teens.

I enjoy making these simple bracelets using my stash of antique and vintage buttons. And the leather varies with what I can find as remnants at our local leather shop. Often friends stop by to drop me off leather pieces as well.
